Interview process at Amazon

Online assessment: 1-2 coding problems (often two-sum-style + a harder one) and sometimes a work-style simulation.

What Amazon looks for

Customer obsession — start from the customer and work backward.
Ownership — think long-term and act on behalf of the whole company.
Bias for action — make decisions with incomplete data and ship.
Dive deep — understand the details behind any metric you cite.
Deliver results — focus on the right inputs and hit commitments.

What a New Grad Software Engineer is evaluated on

Problem-solving and algorithmic thinking.
Communication while coding — narrating your approach.
Coachability — taking hints and adjusting.
Potential and learning agility over deep experience.
