InterviewForge is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep your information — especially your mock interview results — safe. By using the platform, you agree to the practices described here.

Data we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and improve your interview preparation experience:

• Account information: email address, name, and authentication details when you register or sign in.
• Profile information: target role, seniority, target companies, timeframe, and self-assessed baseline confidence levels.
• Study activity: your study plan, daily tasks, coding sessions, notes, flashcards, and progress data.
• Mock interview results: your recorded solutions, AI-generated feedback, scores, and the questions you practiced.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and device/browser information used for reliability and analytics.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

• Generate and maintain your personalized study plan and daily tasks.
• Power AI-driven features such as mock interview grading, answer generation, and readiness scoring.
• Track and display your progress, readiness scores, and analytics.
• Send optional notifications like mock reminders and weekly summaries (configurable in Account Preferences).
• Operate, secure, and improve the platform.

How your mock interview results are protected and used

Your mock interview results are private to you. They are only used to generate personalized feedback, compute your readiness scores, and help you review your performance. Your recorded solutions and AI feedback are never shared with other users or sold to third parties. You may delete individual mock records at any time, which permanently removes the associated solutions and feedback from your account.

AI processing

Some features send your inputs (such as problem statements, your code, or behavioral answers) to AI models to generate feedback, test cases, or suggested solutions. This processing is performed on demand to serve your request and is not used to train external models on your data. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information in any free-text field.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with service providers that help operate the platform (for example, payment processing and email delivery), under agreements that restrict their use of your data. You may optionally create a shareable progress snapshot; that snapshot is controlled by you and can be revoked at any time.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted data storage, row-level access controls so each user can only access their own records, and authenticated access for all sensitive operations. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or specific records, we remove the associated data from our systems in accordance with our retention schedule.

Your rights

You can access, update, or delete your profile, study data, and mock interview results at any time within the app. You can also adjust your privacy and notification preferences in Account Preferences, or request full account deletion.
